A lot of my inspiration comes from traditional lacing/ leather techniques. I’m constantly inspired by the craftsmanship and skill of other leatherworkers, specifically in terms of detail and the dedication to longevity.

Simultaneously, there’s so much waste in the leather industry, and I sometimes battle with guilt of putting more things on the planet — but I really enjoy creating special 1/1 pieces with individuals that’ll enjoy them for a long time.

I prioritize slowing down and working on pieces in a way that feels authentic to me.

All of my pieces are hand-punched and hand-laced in my Toronto studio. Majority of my work is hand done.

I generally start with a rough sketch/ idea of colour, some clients let me have full creative freedom and some request that I send details/ changes for approval.

I tend to find a lot of detail through my making process — I don’t always know how a piece will turn out until it’s finished.

I prioritize sourcing cutoff, scrap, sample, and vintage leathers, as a way to minimize my waste as designer.

Pricing is completely dependant on the amount of leather (size), detail and labour that go into your custom.

Generally, smaller leather goods start around $400 CAD. Small Purses range from $550-850. Medium bags from around $880-1500. Large; anywhere from 1200+

Custom clothing — Is priced out after consultation and will require 1-2 fittings/ adjustment rounds. If you’re not located in Toronto, you’ll provide proper measurements, which your custom will be based on.

I really enjoy trying new ideas, concepts and shapes. Focusing on custom and 1/1 pieces allows me to create in way that’s more inspiring to my learning process as a designer.

I think It’s special for my clients to have something that’s unique to them. Sometimes I want to try an idea i’ve had or a mix of different styles I’ve done in the past.
